The University of Bordeaux at APAIE!
The University of Bordeaux participated at the APAIE conference and exhibition in Taiwan from the 20th to the 23rd of March 2017.
APAIE (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education) is one of the most well-known forums in the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together policy-makers and education experts from around the world. This year, the 12th edition took place in Kaohsiung, Taiwan leading with the theme “New Era, New Horizon, New Frontiers - Higher Education in Asia Pacific". The event brought together 1,600 delegates and over 240 exhibition booths representing over 250 universities.
For the third year in a row, the University of Bordeaux was present as an exhibitor on the Campus France stand, one of the largest within the exhibition. The objective of our visit to APAIE was triple: to meet with current and future academic partners, to promote our university, and to participate in sessions and workshops in order to learn about new developments in international education.
During the event, over 15 meetings were organized with partner universities from Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, the USA and Latin America. This year, for the first time ever, the University of Bordeaux hosted a session. Vincent Dousset, Vice President of International Relations presented with partners, the University of Tsukuba (Caroline Benton, Vice President of Global Affairs) and National Taiwan University (Luisa Shu-Ying Chang, Vice President for International Affairs) on "Heterogeneity, Hybridity, Multiplicity: Breaking intra/extra‐murals for Multilateral Borderless Education", using the “Campus-in-Campus” projet as a case study. The same presentation will be given during the NAFSA conference in Los Angeles, USA in May and at the EAIE conference in Seville, Spain in September.
