As you are aware, the Gironde region has been identified as a location in which the Covid-19 virus is spreading rapidly. This has led the Prefect to take reinforced sanitary measures for the Bordeaux metropolis and the Gironde region since the beginning of the week.
Most of these measures had already been anticipated in the health plan implemented in our university at the beginning of the academic year.
This is the case, for example, of the wearing of masks, which has been mandatory since the beginning of the academic year for everyone, in all indoor and outdoor spaces of the university. This requirement has been extended to a 50-meter area around the entrances and exits of the university and is now the subject of a ruling by the Prefecture.
This is also the case for student parties, which were already banned within the university and are now forbidden generally throughout the department, including in private settings.
Over the summer, we also worked alongside your colleges and institutes to provide the necessary conditions to ensure our teaching arrangements are as safe as possible, by reducing groups in the lecture halls and classrooms by half, by rearranging such premises to facilitate physical distancing, by investing massively in digital equipment to allow remote retransmission or by maintaining digital equipment support services for those students most in need.
In addition, the Prefect has requested that we limit group gatherings to a maximum of 10 people and asked for the closure of student third places, since convivial gatherings are the cause of most grouped outbreaks of contamination. Recreation rooms, halls and social rooms* that are usually open to students are therefore closed until further notice.
We must also avoid gatherings, whether they be inside or outside, except for those premises that have been specifically adapted in order to respect physical distancing – in particular for teaching. As a reminder, face to face meetings with more than 10 participants are forbidden and virtual conference solutions must be favored.
Since it is impossible to drink, eat or smoke without removing your mask, meals and coffee (or cigarette) breaks are strictly limited to 10 people (for students and staff) on our campuses. We also recommend that you take such breaks outside and increase the distance between each other, especially when eating (2 meters if possible).
- For staff, given the current sanitary context, in addition to existing social spaces, it is exceptionally possible to have lunch in individual offices or in available meeting rooms. In this situation, the minimum distance between people must be increased (2 meters) and always, no matter the size of the room, no more than maximum 10 people should be present at the same time.
- For students, along with the colleges and institutes, given the arrival of fall and the reduction in capacity of the university restaurants, we are looking for solutions to allow those who would need to eat their cold meals in a sheltered place, while maintaining sufficient distance between people.
I would like to draw your attention to the importance of respecting barrier gestures, both at the university and in private settings, as the virus also spreads within our community: in addition to wearing masks and physical distancing, hand hygiene and preventive isolation in case of symptoms are essential.
> If you are symptomatic or positive for Covid-19, do not come to university. Do not hesitate to consult the online information space dedicated to Covid-19 on the university's website. It is regularly updated, contains health data sheets and information concerning pertinent procedures for the University of Bordeaux and provides answers to the most frequently asked questions. I am well aware that the conditions of this new academic year are not easy for you, nor for the students and I realize the considerable efforts that are being made to ensure that our university continues to function and to welcome our students on-site. Our supervisory Ministry has just published a circular with the latest updates concerning the recommendations for returning to work within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of this circular, we are adapting the conditions for the obligatory wearing of face masks in the University, as defined in a new decree issued by the President (link). It is to be noted that this obligation also applies to lecturers who are teaching their classes in person and to speakers who are participating in meetings in person, no matter the distance respected between them and their audience.
This mail is to remind you that the wearing of face masks is obligatory for everyone, in all interior and exterior university spaces, even when the minimum distance of 1 meter or more may be respected between people.
This rule pertains to staff members, including lecturers who are physically present with students, for all forms of teaching, and also to those participating in meetings in person, even when the participants are spaced out and do not circulate. It is also to be respected for all movement in interior and exterior university spaces…
We also wish to draw your attention to the importance, everywhere and for all, of respecting and enforcing barrier gestures, which remain the primary tool in the fight against the spread of the virus, while it is actively circulating in our region and especially in Gironde, including within our University community:
- Wear a face mask
- Regularly and thoroughly wash your hands
- Maintain at least 1 meter distance between yourself and others

As the holidays come to an end, I wish you all an excellent return to work; I hope that the summer break provided a much needed rest for you, your family and friends after the very challenging first months of 2020.
As you know, after nearly 6 months off-site, most of our students will finally be able to return to our campus and we will also be welcoming our 1st year Bachelor students who are starting their experience of higher education. We are delighted to finally be able to welcome these students on-site. I know that many of you are working hard on the organization of this exceptional return to the university and I thank you.
The Regional Health Agency (ARS) has confirmed the acceleration of new COVID-19 cases, in particular within the region of Gironde, and given the size and diverse profile of our community, it is very likely that cases will be detected in the coming weeks or months within our university. Our objective is thus to avoid such cases spreading throughout our community.
The number one health measure that applies to all, whether it be staff, students, visiting lecturers or visitors, is the mandatory use of face masks in all interior and exterior university spaces, as of Monday, August 31st. In addition, more than ever, respecting barrier gestures is necessary to stop the epidemic: careful and frequent hand washing and physical distancing. Health professionals speak of the 3 point rule: mask, hand washing, 1 meter distance.
It is also essential that each and every one of you be able to trace your itinerary and contacts in the establishment, in case of positive testing for the virus. This individual vigilance will make it possible, if necessary, to speed up the identification of any so-called "at risk" * contacts (whether it be colleagues, students or visitors) and therefore to limit the transmission of the virus in our community.
Furthermore, if you have symptoms or live with someone (partner, child, flatmate, etc.) who has tested positive for COVID-19, you should isolate and consult your doctor immediately. In practical terms, this means not coming to your workplace, staying at home (while of course informing your employer), and contacting the university workplace health service to find out how to best proceed and protect others in such a situation**. For any questions, a "covid" email address (email@example.com) is available and will direct you to the right contacts in case of doubt.
The COVID-19 section on the university website is currently being updated to provide the necessary information for this new period. In particular, thematic "frequently asked questions" (FAQ), accessible to all, will cover specific questions from university staff (and also students), for example what to do when tested positive for COVID-19 (and for suspected cases, when in contact with cases), protective material, etc. Do not hesitate to consult this section regularly for up-to-date information on the situation or useful contacts.
In this section of the website you may also find the contact details of the different HR and social development services, in particular the workplace health service, who are available should you have any questions or require help. This exceptional period may be very worrying and stressful and I therefore encourage you to consult with the doctors or psychologists here within the university if necessary.

Message of the president of the University of Bordeaux, Manuel TUNON de LARA, to all staff and doctoral candidates at the University of Bordeaux
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Since the easing of lockdown restrictions began, more than 3,000 staff at the University of Bordeaux have been able to return to our campuses and resume their activities face-to-face in university premises on an occasional or regular basis – including nearly 2,000 in our research structures.
As you know, this second phase of the university's on-site activity resumption plan was based on the establishment’s upstream validation procedures, dictated by the need to ensure the conditions required to protect our community’s health.
Since last week, however, we have been relieved to observe that the widespread lifting of lockdown is enabling a rapid return to a form of normal (or almost normal) daily life. In line with this approach, and as I told you a few days ago, we have decided to facilitate the resumption of activities on university sites wherever possible, by easing the conditions for returning to our premises.
In concrete terms, for this new phase, heads of structures and the directors of laboratories, units or departments are now responsible for overseeing the resumption of activities on university premises. In view of the relaxation of national restrictions, which previously required compliance with a uniform framework, the prior authorizations that had to be issued by the Safety and Protection Officer are abolished.
Of course, the heads of structures will need to inform logistics services of this resumption of activity in advance to enable the scheduling of cleaning for the premises concerned before staff return to the site. Of course, everyone will also need to keep observing preventive health measures and the famous barrier precautions.
Directors will therefore be able to define the organizational arrangements for their structures, and in particular, to allow staff to return to sites, in compliance with health instructions and taking account of the impact of these decisions on departments – particularly administrative and support departments – beyond the structure under their responsibility. Working as closely as possible with staff, they will be able to identify, on a case-by-case basis, solutions adapted to particular missions, specific situations, and individual working conditions, while ensuring that staff are not prevented from returning to their normal working environments for too long.
While we are still unable to pick up where we left off on March 15, we can adapt the way we operate by bearing a few practical principles in mind:
- firstly, teleworking can be maintained, either totally or partially, when it is possible without seriously impacting the activities to be performed. Indeed, it will have to be maintained when staff are subject to specific constraints – I am thinking of vulnerable people, in particular.
In this regard, I would like to point out that the generalization of distance working imposed on us by the health crisis was carried out under exceptional conditions. The feedback from this experience will enable us to adapt our existing guidelines for teleworking, which we had already implemented at the university, by continuing to monitor its impact on the quality of life at work.
- secondly, we cannot all be present on the premises at the same time because physical distancing is still necessary; this is why, whenever possible, the rotation of staff or teams and the organization of staggered attendance times will help to limit physical proximity in the workplace as well as on public transport, and will enable the majority of us to resume our normal working practices, at least occasionally.
- finally, the impact of the resumption of activity on the cleaning of premises must be taken into account at all levels, considering that the health measures increase the duration of cleaning operations. It will therefore be necessary to give maximum thought to how we use our premises in order to limit the work required of the logistics teams, which are already under considerable pressure, to the occupied premises only.
A memorandum issued by the Director General of Services and the Safety and Protection Officer, and clarifying the arrangements for this new phase of our on-site activity resumption plan, will soon be sent to the academic and administrative management teams. Similarly, the health information sheets already available in the activity resumption area on the university's website will be updated if necessary.
I am counting on everyone to follow these health guidelines more than closely than ever at a time when more and more of us are going to be present on our campuses, because the coronavirus is still out there and it is our behavior, including the application of barrier measures, that will stem the epidemic.
I am fully aware that this third phase of the activity resumption plan is eagerly awaited, even though in reality, the university’s activities have never stopped, and despite the lockdown, our community has been working very hard during the unprecedented events of this spring. I am delighted at the prospect of all this intense activity – hitherto at distance – gradually returning to enliven our campuses, just as I am delighted at the prospect of meeting you all again over the coming weeks.

Activation of Phase 2 of the Plan for resuming activities at university sites
Message form the president of the University of Bordeaux, Manuel TUNON de LARA to all University of Bordeaux staff members and PhD students
After the first post-lockdown week spent preparing the university for the resumption of certain activities on campus sites (only activities that cannot be performed remotely), we are ready to begin phase 2 of our “plan for resuming on-site activities” in the next few days, in accordance with the information you received last Wednesday from the Director General of Services and the Defense and Security Official.
I know many of you are very eager to move forward, and I understand this. However, our priority is to ensure that we resume activities in a way that ensures safe conditions for all, and this requires the implementation of complex measures, given the size of our institution, the number and diversity of the entities involved, the specific constraints for each entity, and the number of sites. Once again, I would like to sincerely thank all those who contributed to this process of defining and implementing plans for resuming on-site activities (PRAS). I am well aware of the scale of this task and the work that lies ahead in the coming weeks.
On Monday, May 18 and on the morning of Tuesday, May 19, we will be able to finalize the logistical and technical preparation for the arrival of all staff members at the various campuses and activate Phase 2 on Tuesday, May 19 at 2pm.
I would like to remind you that only those officially authorized by the Defense and Security Official will be able to return to their usual workplace on this date (they have been identified in advance and notified by the head of their entity). For all others, remote work will continue for the coming weeks.
All those who will be returning to work on-site must strictly comply with the guidelines indicated in the memo and health guidebook available in the Covid-19 section of the university website dedicated to conditions and guidelines for the resumption of activities on university sites. Please carefully read the latest versions of the different health information sheets, which have been regularly updated since initial publication.
An important guideline has been added for these early stages: as a precaution, we ask that you consider the tap water to be unsafe for drinking. Due to the extended shutdown of the water system in our university buildings during closure, water may have stagnated in some of the pipes, leading to the development of bacteria that could make the tap water unsafe to drink. The necessary maintenance operations are still underway and will continue early in the week. It is therefore important not to drink any tap water until the services confirm that they have completed their work and that the water in our internal university network is safe to drink. We will inform each university site as soon as we know more.
I know I can count on each of you to act responsibly in the midst of these circumstances that remain unprecedented, despite the end of lockdown measures.

Message to all staff members and doctoral students of the University of Bordeaux
As stated by the President of the University of Bordeaux in his video message yesterday, the progressive end of the lockdown, starting on the 11th May 2020, will be accompanied by an activity renewal plan for the university campus sites, organized according to two phases.
In concrete terms, this means for Phase 1 (May 11th until May 17th), the only activities permitted on the campus sites will be: review of the premises, maintenance operations, cleaning and organizing prior to staff arrival. Only those staff members, authorized to carry out such actions, will be allowed on the campus sites as of the 11th of May, as well as those specifically authorized by their manager, once their authorization certificate is duly validated by the defense and security official. The campus fire and emergency services will thus have the list of staff members who may be present on each specific site, those not registered on the list will not be allowed to enter.
In the same way, the renewal of certain activities on site, planned for Phase 2 (as of May 18th), will be allowed only for those staff members who have been identified in avance by their managers, whether it concern regular or one-off presence on site. Working within the campus sites will therefore remain an exception.
In order to faciltate a progressive renewal of these essential activites on the university campus sites, while respecting the advised security conditions, we please ask you to strictly follow these guidelines and to consult with your manager for any questions concerning the renewal of activities.

After three weeks of national lockdown in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, I hope you are all keeping safe and sound. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude for all your hard work during these exceptional circumstances.
As you know, being part of this action, our university has done its utmost in order to ensure that services continue, despite the closure of our campus. I am aware that this continuity – be it for educational, scientific or administrative requirements – is complicated for many of you. It may imply managing childcare along with teleworking, using personal IT equipment, working with unreliable connections or having to rapidly and urgently master new tools and work methods… Most of you are experiencing, for the first time ever, remote teaching as well as teleworking along with their specificities. These may include, especially at this time, difficulties in preserving a balance between personal and professional lives.
I know that I may count on your commitment to our public service and I recognize every day, our community’s incredible capacity to adapt, unite and innovate for the good of our students, for research and for the health and security of all.

The University of Bordeaux has been closed for 10 days now, as part of the measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus epidemic and national lockdown, and the French Prime Minister has just announced the extension of this national lockdown for at least another 15 days.
In this context, many of you are working from your homes, often in complicated conditions, with children to look after, fragile family members take care of... in the common concern to ensure our public service missions.
First, I would like to reiterate my warm and heartfelt thanks for your commitment.
I would also like to make sure that you are doing as well as possible in these exceptional circumstances. I remind you that the university remains present for its entire staff, especially for those who may find themselves in a delicate situation, notably through the Human Resources and Social Development division.
Despite the closure of the premises to the public, continuity of service is maintained:

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Bordeaux is closed since the 16th March. In line with the national containment recommendations, we must all of us, now stay at home.
We are very much aware that these exceptional circumstances may especially affect those who are in a precarious situation. It is for this reason that our university is taking action and adapting its student services.
Please consult the information below that details the various services available for those who are in such a precarious situation. Although regular student services are currently closed to the public, rest assured that service continuity is still guaranteed.
Psychological health and support

Following the speech by the French President last night, I confirm that the University of Bordeaux is closed until further notice and has activated its activity continuity plan (in French: “PCA”).
I am counting on our community to scrupulously comply with the containment instructions that are essential to stop the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic and to protect each and every one of us.
You will find on the university website a set of regularly updated information, including FAQ pages to answer main questions that arise. These will be updated regularly. You will also find health advice and useful contacts of the main services that have switched to working remotely.
I would also like to inform you that we have set up a single telephone number, instead of the usual campus switchboards: 05 40 00 27 00 (reachable from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
The teaching and administrative teams are working hard to guarantee the continuation of learning and teaching activities for our students. The laboratories organize the continuation of activities essential to the scientific life of our establishment. Message of the president of the University of Bordeaux, Manuel TUNON de LARA
The current situation in relation to COVID-19 is evolving very rapidly and it is our collective and individual responsibility to comply with national guidelines to limit the spread of the epidemic and protect the most vulnerable. As a higher education research institution with a strong health component, we must be exemplary in applying the necessary health measures in the face of this exceptional situation.
I remind you that - like all French universities - the University of Bordeaux is now closed and has activated its activity continuity plan (in French : “PCA”). All students and staff must remain at home, with the exception of staff whose presence is essential to the vital functioning of the establishment, and within the strict framework of the activity continuity plan.
Within this framework, buildings are closing Monday, March 16, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. until further notice. Site managers (laboratories, training buildings, administrative services, etc.) are asked to ensure this closure and to facilitate the intervention of fire & emergency services who will conduct verification rounds in the evening. This closing time may be staggered according to service requirements, particularly if organizational constraints are necessary on this day to close under good conditions, especially in research units.
In the absence of new instructions, and starting Tuesday, March 17, access to the buildings will be from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in accordance with the activity continuity plans established by each structure and only for persons authorized under these activity continuity plans:
For research activities
The director of the research facility sends an email to the fire & emergency services of his or her campus stating the following:
The surname(s), first name(s), position(s) of the person(s) to be granted access to the building. In the case of a one-time intervention, the director will specify the date and the desired arrival and departure times. In the case of a repetitive intervention, the director shall specify the days when such accesses will be necessary or the required frequency.

For administrative activities
The DGSa sends its requests to the appropriate fire & emergency service (with the Defense and security official copied on the email).
For maintenance operations falling under the PILPSE division and the IT department
The services that need to intervene contact the fire & emergency service of their campus on the model of the procedures described above (contacting the fire & emergency service of their campus, with both the Defense and security official and the DGSa copied on the email). A message must be sent even when the agents responsible for intervening have autonomy of action.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the institution ensures strict compliance with the national instructions transmitted by our Ministry and that a delay after the government's public communication is therefore necessary before informing each and every one of you of the measures taken at the University of Bordeaux.
As of Tuesday, March 17, FAQ pages will be available online on the university intranet and website to answer main questions that arise. They will be supplemented by a toll-free number instead of the institution's switchboards, the number of which will be communicated as soon as possible.
I thank you for your understanding and would like to assure you of the full mobilization at your side of the entire management team and the administration in these exceptional circumstances.

Message of the president of the University of Bordeaux, Manuel TUNON de LARA
As you know, yesterday, Saturday, March 14, the French Prime Minister announced new measures to fight the coronavirus. In particular, he called on all our fellow citizens to respect the instructions on social distancing, in particular to limit travel, meetings and non-essential contacts, as well as to respect barrier gestures. Administrations are invited to take massive action to organize telecommuting.
Under these conditions, and in view of the new instructions received today from our supervisory ministry, I ask all staff whose particular situation makes them vulnerable to the risk of an epidemic to stay at home, starting tomorrow and until further notice, and to report to the occupational health service (firstname.lastname@example.org), to the HR division (poleRHDS@u-bordeaux.fr) and to their supervisor.
This provision, in accordance with the recommendations of the High Council for Public Health transmitted by our supervisory ministry, concerns in particular pregnant women, people with renal, cardiac or respiratory insufficiency, cirrhosis, cardiovascular risks, insulin-dependent diabetes or with complications, chronic obesity or immunodeficiency. It also applies to anyone who is ill. When appropriate, telecommuting arrangements will be possible.
I invite all other staff to stay home tomorrow while waiting for instructions from their supervisors, except for staff:
- mobilized in essential activities linked to the activity continuity plan (in French : “PCA”)
- directly involved in research projects on the COVID-19 epidemic or comparable epidemics
The activation of activity continuity plans implies the maintenance of the vital activities of the establishment. Telecommuting will be activated whenever missions allow it and until further notice.
Furthermore, I would like to remind you of the necessity to imperatively respect barrier gestures and rules of social distancing (distance of 1m between people, cancellation of all meetings and face-to-face meetings that can be cancelled, priority to email and telephone exchanges for essential meetings related to activity continuity, calibration of rooms to respect the distance or, failing that, audioconferences, etc.).
Protect yourself and others by complying with these national instructions.
I know I can count on the commitment and responsibility of each of you to get through this exceptional situation collectively.

Clarifications regarding the closure of the University Libraries
The University Libraries will be closed as of this Saturday 03/14 evening until further notice.
In these exceptional circumstances:
- the duration of the loans will be extended as long as necessary,
- no penalty will be applied to documents to be returned,
- return boxes remain open.

In accordance with the directives received from the Ministère de l’enseignement supérieur, de la recherche et de l’innovation, the University of Bordeaux will be closed to the public from Monday, March 16, 2020 until further notice. This closure applies to all face-to-face teaching; it therefore concerns the students, who are requested to remain at home or to return to their place of main residence.
The other activities of the university and in particular research and administration activities will continue in accordance with official health instructions (specifically : barrier gestures, and cancellation of public events for more than 100 people).
Continuation of learning and teaching activities
From Monday no face to face teaching of any kind will take place - the university is organizing the continuation of learning and teaching to minimize, as far as possible, the impact of these exceptional circumstances on student education.
In practical terms this means that teachers of all faculties and educational units, supported by our administrative teams, are mobilized to make their courses accessible remotely, on a case-by-case basis, and in all types of possible format (e-learning, videos, webcast etc…). Sandrine Rui, vice-president for education and campus life, is coordinating this continuity plan with the management teams of the colleges and training institutes and will soon send out a note to all teaching staff detailing the learning technology options available in order to organize this dematerialization of teaching.
Examination procedures may, where necessary, be adjusted along similar lines.
The competitive examinations (PACES, ECN, CAPES, aggregation, etc.) will be organized under their usual conditions, since this is compatible with health prevention measures in force.
Continuation of other university activities
Research laboratories will remain open in compliance with official health instructions (specifically : barrier gestures and cancellation of public events for more than 100 people). Philippe Moretto, vice-president for Research, working with the research organizations, will presently remind the unit directors of the need to maintain scientific activity, science being, as the Minister pointed out, one answer to this unprecedented situation.
In the same way, administrative services will also remain open.
Staff who are able to telecommute should choose to work from home, with the agreement of their manager, and under the conditions defined by the Director General of Services (DGS).
Based on the information we have at this time, the university libraries will be closed to students and the public from Monday.Library staff will continue their normal activity.
Missions outside France
The university suspends any mission outside of mainland France until further notice. (including to French overseas departments and territories)
In these exceptional circumstances, we invite you to consult your university messaging system on a very regular basis, including in the evening and during weekends. In order to best protect the entire population and to take into account the evolution of the COVID-19 epidemic, the President of the French Republic announced yesterday evening a series of measures, which include at the very least the closure to the public of all higher education institutions as of Monday, March 16, 2020 and until further notice.
In accordance with this decision, the University of Bordeaux will be closed starting Monday, March 16, 2020. No form of face-to-face teaching will take place from Monday and until further notice. Similarly, the university libraries will be closed to students and the public.
A business continuity plan, which includes pedagogical arrangements, is currently being deployed.
We will communicate on the practical arrangements for the closure by the end of the day at the latest, with the Ministry having to provide us with specific instructions this afternoon.
In these exceptional circumstances, we therefore invite you to consult your university messaging system on a very regular basis, including in the evening and during weekends. Information will also be updated in real time on the usual institutional communication channels: university website and intranet, ENT, and Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The coronavirus COVID-19 is now present on the French national territory, including several sites of grouped cases called "clusters" (to date: towns/cities located in Haute-Savoie, Oise, Morbihan and Grand-Est).
Given the presence of the virus on the territory, in accordance with ministerial instructions, the prevention measures that apply to the University of Bordeaux, as of today, are as follows:
- Students, teachers, lecturers and staff residing or having resided (holidays, weekends...) in a "cluster" must:
- if they are still in the cluster: stay there until the end of the classification of the area as a "cluster"
- if they have left the cluster: stay at home for 14 days before returning to the university
We will do our utmost, as far as possible, to ensure pedagogical continuity for the students concerned.
- Students, teachers, lecturers and staff returning from foreign countries where the virus is present are invited to slow down their social life and to monitor themselves (by measuring their body temperature twice a day)
- People who have made a short stay in a cluster (e.g. transport connections) can go back to the university but are invited to be cautious
International travel suspensions
The evolution of the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic at the international and national levels continues. The Ministry of Solidarity and Health has therefore updated its recommendations, in particular concerning officially confirmed areas of exposure (to date: Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, South Korea, Iran, Italy).
The University maintains the suspension, until further notice, of all professional or student departures to the officially confirmed areas of exposure for its students, researchers, lecturers and administrative staff. It also recommends to its community to postpone any personal travel to these same areas.
Obligation to report
Students and staff, including visiting researchers, are required to report to the university by completing the online form in the following two cases:
- suspicion leading to a test, whether positive, negative or in progress
- inability to go back to the university (confinement in a "cluster" in France or preventive 14 days following a stay in a "cluster")
Please note: staff must also report themselves to their hierarchy (n+1) and to the HR teams by email poleRHDS@u-bordeaux.fr.
To limit the spread of the virus, it is essential to respect and disseminate official health instructions and, in particular, the ones listed below.
- Wash your hands very regularly.
- Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
- Greeting without shaking hands, avoiding hugs.
- Use disposable tissues.
- Wear a mask when sick (on medical prescription).
In case you are returning from an area of exposure or from one of the officially identified "clusters", you must also follow these instructions:
- When possible, avoid close contact with others (meetings, elevators, canteen, etc.);
- Take your temperature twice a day;
- Monitor the appearance of respiratory infection symptoms (coughing, difficulty breathing, etc.);
- Avoid contact with frail individuals (pregnant women, the chronically ill, the elderly, etc.);
- Avoid frequenting places with frail individuals (hospitals, maternity hospitals, accommodation structures for the elderly, etc.);
- Avoid all non-essential outings (large gatherings, restaurants, cinema, etc.);
In case of signs of respiratory infection (fever or feeling of fever, cough, difficulty breathing) if you live in an area where the virus is present or within 14 days of returning from an area where the virus is present:
- Contact Samu Centre 15 with your symptoms and recent stay.
- Avoid all contact with your family and friends.
- Wear a mask (on medical prescription).
- Do not go to your doctor or emergency room to avoid any potential contamination.
