Research is based on three major disciplines: science and technology, life and health sciences, social and human sciences. Different types of structures (joint research units, platforms, etc.) regroup these disciplines within the same scientific field.
The Science and Technology Department, key player for scientific research, is organized according to subject disciplines but also pursues a transverse, multidisciplinary approach.
The aim of the Department of Life and Health Sciences is to contribute to major developments in biology and medicine for the benefit of patients.
The Department of Social and Human Sciences works toward coherence and synergy within human and social sciences with an approach that is founded on: unity, diversity and multidisciplinarity.
