Cultural events
A wide range of cultural activities are available throughout the academic year: workshops, film debates, science cafés, lectures, exhibitions, concerts, shows, etc. The university has a rich and varied heritage - rare museum collections, an architectural heritage - that is just waiting to be discovered!
Artistic workshops
The cultural service offers students the opportunity to try different forms of artistic expression in workshops: dance, choral singing, drawing/graphics, drama, rock on the campus, ukulele, sign language, photo lab, etc.

Sports activities
For the University of Bordaux, high-level sport and amateur sport go hand in hand. Our victorious sporting performances inspire students to keep fit and develop a team spirit. For 7 consecutive years now, Bordeaux is the n°1 French university for sports and ranks n°5 within Europe - our university is also a Sports Campus of Excellence!
Here are just some of the activities available: athletics, aqua gym, badminton, basketball, climbing, dance, diving, fencing, fitness, football, French boxing, futsal judo, karate, taekwondo, golf, gym, handball, juggling, kayak-polo, kite surfing, rugby, snowboard, squash, surfing, swimming, tennis, rifle/pistol shooting, water polo, yoga, volleyball...
Free practice sessions are possible or training may be carried out for a qualification. As part of their course, students may be credited for a physical activity that is supervised and marked by a University of Bordeaux physical education teacher.
