Within an Exchange Program

The programs concerned by this procedure are: ERASMUS+, Quebec Exchange Program, California EAP, Partner Universities, Science Without Borders, Erasmus Mundus Action 2 and China Scholarship Council doctorate.

Study programs and ECTS 

In order to complete an international mobility period, you must first of all check that an adapted study program is on offer in our university. This will ensure that your ECTS will be accepted and registered on your return to your home university.

Level of French

It is advised to have the B1 level (minimum) in French in order to follow complete your studies at the University of Bordeaux within an Exchange Program.

Registration

Many different exchange programs exist at the University of Bordeaux. Please identify your program from the list below and refer to the specific webpage for more details:

  • General exchange programs (Erasmus+, Quebec Exchange Program, California EAP, Partner Universities, Science Without Borders)
  • Erasmus Mundus Action 2
  • China Scholarship Council doctorate
  • Specialized medical studies – DFMS/DFMSA
  • Eiffel Excellence grants

On-line application

The procedure depends on the Exchange Program. Please check which program you are covered by and follow the specific procedure:

Procedure: fill in the

> Please note that this online form will require the following information: ID photo, a copy of your identity card/passport, a certificate proving your B1 level in the French language (see above), transcripts of records (in French or English) and the learning agreement (to be completed with the help of the coordinator of the college concerned).

Application deadline

  • For the 2017 Fall semester: 1st May 2017.
  • For the 2018 Spring semester: 1st November 2017.

Once your application has been received, the International Office will send you your letter of admission, along with all the information you need to prepare for your arrival at our university.

On-site registration

Some of the papers you may need

  • Passport or ID card (valid for the duration of your stay)
  • Non-EU students: student Visa
  • Valid student card from your university of origin
  • ID photos
  • Students from the EU: copy of your European health insurance card
  • Students from outside the EU: an international insurance certificate (valid for the duration of the Exchange Program, translated into French or English, with no reimbursement limit)
  • Medical students: Professional Insurance certificate
  • Repatriation and Civil liability certificate, valid for the duration of your Exchange Program (it is possible to obtain this once you are in Bordeaux)

Note: The papers required depend on your status and your program.
