Bordeaux Summer Schools: an experience of excellence
The 8th edition of the Bordeaux Summer Schools took place between May and July 2019. A unique opportunity for international talents to reinforce their skills, gain new knowledge and develop their professional network – all while making the most of Bordeaux during the summer months!
Organized since 2012, the Bordeaux Summer Schools offer a range of high-quality, multidisciplinary international courses bringing together postgraduate students and young researchers from around the globe.
Covering the fields of African studies to chemistry to health sciences to environmental issues to optics and more, the 2019 edition gathered around 300 master students, junior researchers and professionals from around the world for an enriching curricular experience.
150 international experts took part in the sessions, which were an opportunity for them to interact with young talents and give rise to new projects and collaborations.
The summer school was a wonderful experience of dialogue, allowing me to deepen my knowledge about the relations between society and ecology. The opportunity to meet and debate with so many interesting professors and students from all over the world was very enriching both from a personal and an academic point of view.

The next edition promises to be very exciting, with a great variety of new topics, such as vine and wine sciences, archeology, cyber security and more!
