From the 25th until the 29th of November 2019, the University of Bordeaux celebrated the fifth edition of its annual International Week.
Under the banner of “Time to engage globally”, the objective of this event was, as always, to incite students, researchers, lecturers and administrative staff to come together, learn about and celebrate the international opportunities proposed by the University of Bordeaux.
The international week was also the ideal time to welcome and highlight just some of our international partners coming from the continents of Asia, Africa, North America and Europe.
National Taiwan University was present with the visit of Tzu-Yu Huang, Director of Global Alliances, who participated in information sessions with our mobility services and also our students. A delegation from the University of Hyderabad (India) was in Bordeaux for the week, taking part in a workshop dedicated to the domain of plants with health benefits, along with researchers, lecturers, students and industrial partners.
The University of South Africa was represented by a group of students who were able to discover the Bordeaux innovation ecosystem and flagship projects such as Via Inno, inHeart, Baïtykool, Hacketafac, etc. The International week marked the ideal occasion for the signing of a new partnership with McMaster University (Ontario, Canada), which aims to develop student mobility between our universities for all disciplines and which is already planning the creation of a double degree in chemistry.
In honor of the 2019 France-Romania season, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca was also present, providing information on exchange possibilities in teaching and research. On the final day of the International week, the annual Euskampus-Bordeaux Eguna seminar took place, uniting all those involved in the Euskampus Bordeaux Campus in order to present and discuss the ongoing collaborations between the different players in the Nouvelle Aquitaine and Euskadi regions.
