Internships

Do you want to carry out an internship within our university? Make sure you have planned three months to complete our application procedures!

International students (Bachelor/Master level) may carry out an internship at the University of Bordeaux within one its various entities: research labs and units, or within the central administration and its departments.

Students wishing to complete an internship in France must sign an internship agreement prior to their arrival. The University of Bordeaux internship agreement is the only document valid for the hosting of international students, even if their home institution provides its own document.

Estimated processing times for an internship agreement:

  • For European nationals (no visa): 2 months minimum
  • For non-European nationals (with a visa): 3 months minimum

Follow the 3-step process:

Important

For students who require a visa, the University of Bordeaux manages the validation of the internship agreement at the Prefecture of Bordeaux. The signed internship agreement and the validation are required by the French consulate in your country of residence when you apply for a visa.
