Will the 2021 edition of the Bordeaux Summer Schools be taught on campus?
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Bordeaux has decided to host the entire 2021 edition of the Bordeaux Summer Schools remotely as online courses. The feedback from our 2020 virtual summer school from participants and faculty was overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to further enriching academic experiences online in 2021.
What equipment and resources are required to participate?
As the 2021 edition of the Bordeaux Summer Schools is web-based, online learners will require regular access to a computer with a stable internet connection and camera/microphone functionalities in order to participate.

How do I apply?
To apply for a summer school, please consult the specific website of the summer school and follow the application guidelines. The application deadline and requirements are specified on the application webpage (detailed CV with cover letter required in most cases).
Our team will review your application and keep you posted on its status within the timeframe indicated on the application webpage.

Are the Bordeaux Summer Schools fee-paying courses?
The Bordeaux Summer Schools are fee-paying courses. Scholarships and grants are available under certain conditions. Please refer to each summer school website for further information about the participation fee and how to apply for financial aid, if applicable.
What is included in the price of the course?
Registration fees cover the cost of courses, on-demand viewing after the program and online social events.
How do I register?
If your application is successful, you will be notified by the organizing committee by email. In order to finalize your registration, fees must be paid upon receipt of the confirmation email detailing the payment process, within the indicated timeframe.
Please note: once paid, registration fees are non-refundable. By registering, you consent to the storage and usage of your data by the University of Bordeaux for the processing of your registration.
What minimum level of English is required to participate?
English proficiency is essential and must be equivalent to a minimum B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
May I apply for multiple summer schools?
If you fulfill the specific requirements, you may apply for multiple summer schools (make sure to check the dates previous to multiple registration!). Application requirements are specified on the application webpage of each summer school website.
Will I be awarded a certificate of participation upon completion of the course?
Upon completion of the summer school, participants are awarded a University of Bordeaux participation certificate that attests to the knowledge and skills acquired during the course.
Please note: at the current time, no ECTS are delivered upon completion.
